Big Drill is an industrial idle game for Dreamcast, and my entry for the DreamDisc '24 game jam.

Yearning for the mines? Well now you can operate your own UA 571-C Mining Platform Control System from your Dreamcast!

The system completely automates the mining process, all you need to worry about is what upgrades you will buy using your mined resources, and monitoring the operational status of the drill.
With a cheap beginner drill head you might find yourself having to start over with a new hole as it becomes damaged!

Also features my first attempt at making original music for my games (so it's okay if you play it on mute).

Controls:
START - Open upgrade store
LEFT/RIGHT - Select desired upgrade
A - Purchase upgrade
L/R TRIGGERS - Rotate camera around the mine shaft
X - Toggle camera auto-rotation

You can play it on a real console by burning a disc or loading it using a GDEMU, or it should run nicely on an emulator (smaller size file provided for emulators).

Hi! I'm going to burn this on a disc and print a cover, is perhaps the one you use in the mockup available somewhere in a larger format?

That's really cool!
The mockup was made to fit the itch.io cover image dimensions, so it's pretty small, but I do have the .psd file here (can be edited using Photopea if you don't have an editor installed). It's just using a stretched version of the first screenshot as the main image, so here's a very slightly higher resolution version here if needed.
The font is the default raylib font, which might only exist in image format online, but you should be able to find it.

Wonderful, thank you for these! I might change it around a bit (I've been using DVD cases for DC homebrews, to fit the style late and after market releases went with) but this will definitely give me enough to work with! :)

Awesome! And good idea with the DVD cases.

I'll be working on another DC project soon, and maybe it's a good idea to make official box art for people who want to have something physical. Thanks for putting me onto it!

I don't know how many people are like me and like to make their own boxes for games that doesn't have any but I bet there's quite a few! :) Here's how mine turned out (I always go with the japanese orange because that's how all my after market shmups are designed and I like the consistency)!

Oh that's beautiful! And so so cool to see for one of my games! Nice work <3

Just thinking, this week I'm editing together a little making of video for this project, would you been okay with me including your box art in the video and maybe thumbnail? (With on-screen credit and links to anywhere you like in the video description obviously)

I ran this on my DC! An interesting concept, It looks clean and runs smooth - great work!
